Barefoot Resort is located on Highway 17N Business between Windy Hill Beach and Myrtle Beach (north of the Tanger Outlets). The community is conveniently located—about five minutes (depending on your location) from Highway 22, which connects to Highway 31, Highway 9 and Highway 501.

Barefoot Resort is one of North Myrtle Beach’s most well-known communities. The 2,300-acre community is home to four Championship golf courses designed by Greg Norman, Pete Dye, Tom Fazio and Davis Love III. It also boasts Barefoot Landing, a popular outdoor shopping complex consisting of boutiques, stores, eateries, vendors, live performances, special events, etc.

The Intracoastal Waterway runs through Barefoot Resort and there are two marinas—one public and one private. The community consists of over a dozen neighborhoods of condos, townhomes, single-family homes, patio homes, luxury estates, and waterfront homes. HOA fees in most neighborhoods include access to the many resort amenities including pools, fitness centers, private beach/cabana, shuttle service (peak season), clubhouses, and more.

The date of homes ranges widely as neighborhoods started sprouting in the early 2000s and continued throughout the next two decades. The price gap of homes is just about as wide because there is an array of home types and styles. For example, home prices can go from approximately $160K up to $1+ million. Amenities outside of Barefoot Resort but nearby include a hotel with conference facilities, deep-water marina with dry dock space and water complex with swimming pools with private cabanas, a full-service spa, additional restaurants, and boat shuttle service.

Children attend Ocean Drive Elementary, North Myrtle Beach Middle School, and North Myrtle Beach High School.
